Public Safety

Our quality of life in Colorado is dependent on effective, responsible crime prevention, and one of the core responsibilities of government is to ensure that our communities and our citizens are safe. I respect and support our law enforcement community and am committed to supporting laws that protect all citizens.

Education

Colorado deserves a quality education system that serves students, parents, and teachers. Colorado spends more on administrative costs than the U.S. average, and only 53% of the budget goes to classroom instruction. We must ensure resources go directly to our students and teachers and NOT a bloated bureaucracy. Our teachers go above and beyond to help our students learn and grow, and their efforts must be rewarded.

Our small businesses paid a steep price during the COVID pandemic. Colorado must do everything it can to support and protect our small businesses. This means repealing many laws enacted over the last few years that have hurt and continue to hurt our small businesses.

I have been painted as “anti-vax” and “anti-max” by my opponent, and that simply isn’t true. I believe in personal choices, and I trust Coloradans to make the best medical decisions for themselves and their families.

Affordability & Taxes

Now more than ever we need to make sure Coloradans have the financial resources to put food on the table, gas in their cars, and to keep a roof over their heads.

Today, 1 in 3 Colorado families spend more than 30% of their income on housing. That is hefty burden for our hard-working middle-class families. We must work quickly to get dollars into the pockets of the people to help address the problem. To do that we will need to repeal much of the legislation that has taken money out of their pockets and has increased the cost of housing. We also need to make sure that any new legislation is fiscally responsible and does not waste your tax dollars.
